Under the warm embrace of a golden sunset and surrounded by the natural beauty of Ras State Event Venue, the Clermont Reggae Festival 2025 delivered an unforgettable day filled with powerful music, vibrant culture, and good vibes all around. This outdoor, 1+ acre venue, complete with a scenic lake, bamboo rafting, and a natural tree canopy provided the perfect setting for an authentic roots reggae experience straight from the spirit of Jamaica.
The stage came alive with live music by the I-Heritage Band, whose performance set the tone with messages of peace, love, and Rastafari, the true essence of reggae music. Their uplifting energy resonated with the crowd, grounding everyone in the heartbeat of roots reggae.
As the day flowed into evening, the dynamic JahVerse took to the stage, delivering a charged performance filled with uplifting lyrics and conscious vibrations. He was joined by guest artist Beenie Culture, who shared his inspiring track Youths of Tomorrow, reminding the audience of the importance of guiding the next generation with wisdom and positivity.
Holding it all together between sets was none other than DJ King Kalonji, who had the crowd grooving to timeless reggae hits from legends like Sizzla Kalonji, Buju Banton, and Chronixx. His set was a bridge between the live acts, keeping the energy high and spirits lifted. Meanwhile, MC Empress I-Shine kept the vibes flowing, engaging the audience with her radiant presence and deep love for the culture.
The headline performance by international recording artist Iba Mahr was the pinnacle of the night. With a catalog of hits like Great Is Him, Traveling, Burning, Million Thoughts, and Diamond Sox, Iba Mahr captivated the audience with his passionate delivery and connection to the music. His set also paid heartfelt tributes to reggae icons, including Bob Marley (Waiting in Vain), Dennis Brown (Love and Hate), Bushman (Call the Hearse), and a clever infusion of Shaggy’s Boombastic into Diamond Sox, showing his reverence for those who paved the way.
The Rastafarian-themed boat bar, serving up rich Ital sip by a regal empress, and the vegan food vendors offering ital delights, gave patrons a true taste of Jamaican culture. Local craft vendors and food trucks added to the colorful, community atmosphere that makes reggae festivals so beloved.
Reggae Therapy was on-site to cover the event and speak with organizers, who were filled with gratitude and already looking ahead to more cultural experiences in the future. With sponsors like CuraLeaf and CannaMD supporting the movement, the Clermont Reggae Festival 2025 was more than just a concert, it was a celebration of unity, culture, and conscious living.
This year’s festival proved that reggae music is alive and thriving, with deep roots that continue to grow across generations and borders. Jah blessings until next time!
